On Jan. 31, 2014, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced it was investigating a possible link between an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, and death and men taking testosterone products. The FDA stated it is reassessing the safety of testosterone replacement therapy products after two recent research publications suggested that so-called “Low-T” drugs may increase the risk of cardiovascular problems. The FDA recommends that men currently taking testosterone products should continue taking them without first discussing concerns with a health care professional.
